Source repositories

The two public AlbertCode repositories — what's in each, where their canonical documentation lives, and how this site relates to them.

This site hosts two kinds of documentation: these guides, written for both agents, and each agent's full reference — AlbertCode SWE Agent and mini-AlbertCode SWE Agent — synced unchanged (apart from links) from the repositories, with the commit each page came from. The repositories are canonical: when they change, they win. Each agent also ships its guide offline — /docs in the terminal, Help → Search the guide… in the browser.

What isn't in either repository

The applications themselves. The installers and packages attached to the releases are proprietary, distributed under their own terms, and not covered by the repositories' Apache-2.0 or CC BY 4.0 licences. To change how the agents plan, verify or review work, open a feature request describing the behaviour you want.

Contributing to the repositories

  1. Small fixes — typos, broken links, one-line clarifications — go straight to a pull request; anything larger starts with an issue or discussion.
  2. Fork, branch from main, keep each pull request to one subject.
  3. Run the checks that apply:
Terminal
python3 scripts/release_gate.py # every change, both repositories
shellcheck installer/install.sh # installer changes (albertcode-swe-agent)
sh installer/tests/test_install_sh.sh # installer changes (mini-albertcode-swe-agent)
  1. Sign off each commit with git commit -s to certify the Developer Certificate of Origin.

Never include API keys, tokens, private code, or anyone's personal information.

A guide written for this site, covering both agents. For every command and setting, see the full reference for AlbertCode SWE Agent and mini-AlbertCode.
